Welcome to RetireTheChief |
"Brad," 2/19/2007 (Chief opinion: For) The NCAA has chosen to single the Illini and the University of Illinois out by adding them to their 'list'. This is clearly an open door for lawsuits. By allowing FSU and others to keep indian mascots and telling the University of Illinois that Chief Illiwek must go, the NCAA clearly shows it's not about race or being offensive. Start the legal preceedings, Chief backers! I think the most offensive thing about this entire 'battle' is the fact that Native Americans want to keep the lines between 'white' and 'red' (using the anti-chief words) in tact. As a white male, I feel I"m the only one in America who wants all racial lines to disappear. However, keeping racial lines wouldn't work for the 'minority' agenda. *shrugs* Keep up the good work and keep racism strong in america, Anti movers! "Brad," via the web. |
