i think that the mascot issue is a worthy cause, i am native a american from reno, nv. i do however, beleive that there cannot be a double standard for native americans as well. i am not of the illini tribe or heritage, so i am not offended by the mascot. i do sympathize with them. like i said though, i think that if mascots are taken from sports, it should be across the boards and that means reservations as well. one example... if i can shoot 30 3-point shots in a game... does that mean i am a chief, or warrior, or brave?
