J.P., Friday, Mar. 7, 2003 Subject: FSU and the Chief I'm just curious why no one on either side seems to mention the use of the Seminole Chief at Florida State Univeristy. The Seminole tribe even acknowledges that FSU's use is not entirely accurate (use of a spear instead of a gun), but that is ok. I'm curious as to why the University and the Native American Council cannot work to make the use of the Illini Chief more accurate, and thus create a new tradition?
