This is a stupid debate.. while we are at it should we change the fighting irish, or the LA Angeles Angels of Anaheim because they might be offensive? I myself am a registered Native American under the Peoria tribe, and I embrace my heritage, and love to learn about it. I am NOT speaking for anyone but myself. This is a stupid debate, and we need to move on and focus on other things that are more important. Yes the past is horrible... but this is stupid to argue over a mascot that is not causing any harm. He is acting brave and bringing people together at a game. I would be upset if they had him running around pretending to scalp people... but he's not. He is a symbol or courage, strength, and unity. Our past was tragic... but he is a symbol, like all other mascots. Lets just join together, and have peace.. for once.
