I now live in Phoenix but want you to know that this is one UI grad strongly against the chief yet still a huge fan of our teams. Living in a state with a large Native American population my views get a more simpathetic ear. I do hope we can find a way to keep the Fighting Illini name since it ia not entirely a reference to a specific tribe. We just need to put the name in a new context. If there are others on the site from Arizona lets try and work together for a positive change!
