(Opinion: strongly anti-Chief)

When I was at the last 'band day' at U of I...it was fun, but when the chief came out after we played, I was literally about to go tackle him, it just fills me up with so much indignity. you people as a whole (educated americans) are so ignorant. I'm a native, I don't do all that stuff, I'm just an ordinary teen ... I say if you want to know about that, you should open a text book, why must you incorporate our faces into sports? I mean if it was that important for you to keep the mascots .... then when not give us all of the america's back to us? at least we knew how to treat the land and respect it. like I said before, when we want fat, 1/2 naked white guys with nacho's and beer honoring us, we shall tell you, but if it is not 'that big of a deal' as you all say, then why not let us have this one thing, you already took our land, raped our women and killed almost our whole way of life, let us keep this, what we charish the most ... our pride in our culture ... go to a powwow, not a football game...
