(Opinion: strongly anti-Chief)

I think that it is disgraceful, disrespectful and racist for the University of Illinois to continue to use a mascot that is offensive to the Native American people. I am glad that the Native American Bar Association has taken legal action.

I think that Governor Rod Blagojevich, the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, and all those who stubbornly refuse to honor and respect Native American people are an embarrassment to civilized humanity.
