"none......," 3/31/2005

(Chief opinion: VeryFor)

A couple of things......Do lonely men who sit out in West Texas, get mad and want to take away the name of the Dallas Cowboys, because they themselves are cowboys? I will say that Indian culture is not pressed enough in school grades 2-12, but just taking simple things like this is just make another step back in "some press" for the American Indian. What about the Cornhuskers? Do their fans get mad when people stereotype them wearing "coveralls", no. 99% of farmers today, don't wear a bright red 10-Gallon hat, blue "coveralls" and floppy "overshoes" and have a corn cob pipe and corn cob sticking out of the back pocket. But for a football game, it OK to have Herbie Husker walk around like a laid back farmer. You don't see people with picket signs there do you? Take the American Indian out of the "Thanksgiving" and people are going to think they are extinct.
