Opinion: very anti-Chief

I attend WWU in Bellingham, WA and in my comparative cultural studies class we watched a video today, "In whose honor", it was the first time I was aware of the University of Illinois mascot. I was most moved by the ignorance and lack of respect that the alumni of Ill. University present to the Native American community. I support the students and staff and activist community in Illinois to rid the university of this racist mascot. There are others out there in this country who are supportive of the removal of the Illinois mascot. Keep up the good work!!
