I firmly believe that our efforts as native americans can be better utilized in trying to better educate our people instead of fighting all these meaningless battles about a name, chiefs, redskins, seminoles, and indians, what does a name really do to us, if it was a derogatory thing why would multi million dollar corporations use the mascots. I can only think this is just a reason to further someone elses agenda, and i wish to be no part of it, if you would like to really help our people lets focus on educational issues, job training issues, lets get our people out of poverty, lets change the way history is taught about how our land was taken away by the anglo americans, lets focuis on real issues not these petty bullshit issues about a name of a team or mascot. whats next the renaming of cities(souix st marie), states(ohio) come on folks lets attack real issues, like our future as an indian nation! Together we can grow and we can quit blaming others and stand up strong and take back our dignity and pride!
