Welcome to RetireTheChief |
"dwb," 3/31/2005 (Chief opinion: Neutral) Mascots are all images of power and strength. There are Tigers, Lions, Steelers, and wildcats. Even the less intimadating ones like cardinals are made to be powerful in their design. The great American Indian is still considered to be powerful. The indian has showed great courage and strength in all conflicts. The indian was instrumental in winning WWII. with their codes. The American Indian is a source of pride for me and my family. We have only a fraction of Apache blood, but we are very proud to have such honorable and strong bloodlines. I have no problem with the mascot. He is honoring the strong indian just like the Lions honor the strong lion.
