I think that it is ridiculous and a waste of your state's money and time to worry about something so trivial as whether your mascot is an Indian. IT IS A MASCOT!!!! Mascots are for fun and school spirit, NO ONE goes around thinking that Indians are big headed "animated looking" dolls. They go to sporting events to enjoy themselves and for their kids to enjoy themselves. The real problem lies in the parents of people of ANY age that failed to tell their children that somethings are just for fun and not done to hurt anyone. Maybe we should go to one of your neighboring states and raise the problem that the Fighting Irish are giving Irish people a bad reputation, or maybe go to Wisconsin and fight for Badger's rights. Get over this and spend your time, money, and effort dealing with real problems. Maybe see about helping poor and disadvantaged people get into schools so that they have a fighting chance at improving themselves.

By the way, maybe you should change the name of your state because it is an Indian name as well.
