Anti-Chief rally - Oct. 10, 2003

An anti-Chief rally was held on the University of Illinois campus on Friday, October 10, sponsored by the PRC. Artist, U.I. graduate and activist Charlene Teters spoke regarding Native American history, symbolism and the Chief.

Following her speech, protesters marched to the University's Henry Administration Building, where representatives presented a declaration regarding their anti-Chief stand and requesting that the Chief issue be put on the agenda of the next Board of Trustees meeting.
